RED GURNARD
Gurnard isn't often spoken about in the mainstream, but this fish a fantastic dupe for the uber-popular Flathead! Recently, Sydney Seafood School manager Sally bought enough Gurnard fillets to feed her family of four for just over 10 bucks, leaving plenty of breathing room to pull together a simple salad and a side of potatoes. SPAGHETTI VONGOLE
Pasta is an affordable go-to for many families, and it's such an easy meal to add some nutritious seafood to. Our pick if you're on a budget is grabbing some Vongole, Clams, or Pipis and tossing them through. Depending on what's in season, these bivalves shouldn't set you back more than $15/kg.
