Sydney Seafood School is delighted to announce a range of new themed seafood cooking classes, taking inspiration from various cuisines around the world. Our engaging, hands-on cooking experiences will help you to gain valuable cooking skills and confidence in handling seafood under the guidance of our expert presenters.
The newest round of classes for July includes a favourite from our at-home recipe kits, Laksa with Prawns and Moreton Bay Bugs, which will see guests learn how to create a luxurious and traditional laksa lemak – the perfect winter warmer.
Two of the new classes will take you on a deep dive into a specific culture’s seafood cuisine; Flavours of Thailand and Taste of Japan. Let us take you on a Thai sojourn, and learn all about Thai flavours and ingredients while cooking delicious stir-fried tamarind and coconut prawns and more. Or, take a trip to Japan, and master a two-course Japanese seafood menu using some of Sydney Fish Market’s freshest ingredients.
Finally, book into our new Pasta Workshop class to master the art of fresh pasta making. This class teaches guests how to make fresh egg pasta and ravioli from scratch, with deliciously simple sauces and fillings - all ideal for family dinners or casual entertaining.
Along with these exciting, revitalised classes, a huge range of Sydney Seafood School’s classic classes are scheduled through July and August, including the ever-popular Singapore Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab, Seafood BBQ, Seafood Basics, Spanish, and much more.
First, you’ll enter our gorgeous, tiered theatrette for an expert cooking demonstration, then head through to the hands-on kitchen, where you have a chance to cook the dishes yourself at a fully-equipped cooking island. Once you’ve completed your delicious meal, you’ll have a chance to enjoy it in the dining room over a drink, with full table service. Saturday evening classes also have the added bonus of beginning with time to mingle over canapes and another glass of wine or beer!
